InnovNation is one of Hebrew U most popular study abroad summer programs and space is limited. We recommend that you complete the following steps as early as possible as applications are reviewed on a first-come-first-serve basis:

1. Apply to Hebrew University's Rothberg International School (RIS)

Once you have signed in to RIS Online Application Page (ROAP), you can select our winter session or summer session from the list of 'Special Programs' on RAP. Alternatively, you can pick only one of our summer courses from the list of 'Summer Courses'.

If you have the opportunity, we highly recommend you enroll in both courses of InnovNation's summer session, as most applicants do. These two summer courses are designed to complement each other through different trips, lectures, and meetings and together offer a much more complete and in-depth experience.

When registering through ROAP you will need to provide the following documents and information:

  • A digital copy of a passport-size photograph
  • Academic recommender contact details and/or academic reference letter
  • Scanned copy of official transcript, degree, or proof of enrollment
  • Medical form - completed and signed by your physician
  • Disclaimer form (US citizens only)
  • Housing reservation form (optional) - can be filled out as part of the online application

In order for your application to be considered you need to pay a non-refundable US$120 application fee through RIS payment methods.

For further information about the registration process please refer to RIS Application guidelines or send an email to rissummer@savion.huji.ac.il with cc to registration@innovNation.net

2. Confirmation of Participation in the Program

In order to secure their place in the program, candidates that have received an acceptance letter from RIS must pay the participation fee through the following payment methods and send a proof of payment to registration@innovNation.net before the registration deadline.

We recommend to pay this fee as soon as possible as we will only reserve a place in the program once the participation fee has been received.

Please note that the participation fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the participant, as it is used for booking purposes and to ensure that the program has the required number of participants in order to run.

InnovNation has been one of RIS's most popular programs for many years. However, we will only be able to confirm that the program you selected has sufficient registration, two weeks after the registration deadline, once the required number of participants have paid the participation fee. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel courses for which there is insufficient registration. In the unlikely event that the program you chose is cancelled, you will be reimbursed for the participation fee, deducting only fees charged by the bank or PayPal for the payment and reimbursement transactions, and might be eligible to enroll in alternative courses at RIS.

We would like to confirm that you will also be also entitled to receive a refund if you have registered for the IN-PERSON version of our program and:

  1. The Israeli government denies entrance to Israel to citizens of your country.
  2. A travel warning is issued by your country’s government that prohibits its citizens from traveling to Israel.

Please note that since refunds via Paypal can only be issued for a period of 180 days, reimbursements via PayPal after this period will be sent as a separate payment to the same PayPal account that emitted the original transaction.

Once you are accepted to the program, RIS will send you instructions by email on how to pay other fees and other steps that need to be followed in order to complete registration for the program.

3. Send supplementary documentation

Applicants that have been accepted to the program must send the following to registration@innovNation.net:

  • Copy of your passport ID page - required in order to arrange access to some of the institutions visited during the program.

  • Personal statement (maximum 150 words) - describing your academic and/or professional background and interest in the InnovNation program. This information will be considered when arranging our itinerary and will be shared with host organizations, guest speakers and program participants.

* We reserve the right to cancel courses for which there is insufficient registration.
